The Arran Junior Triathlon Club celebrated a successful first season with an awards ceremony held last Friday in Shiskine village hall.

The club, which was only formed in February, finished in a very respectable fourth place among the 13 clubs in Scotland after the points gained by positions acquired throughout the season were added up. All 27 members received a trophy for their involvement and hard work during the season. The top boy award was won by James McCarthy and top girl was won by Rhea Webster, while Eilidh Hamill received the athletes’ athlete of the year award.
