Arran Active is shortlisted for award

Arran Active in Brodick has been shortlisted for an award for the Best Independent Retailer in The Great Outdoors Awards after being anonymously nominated. The outdoor retailer is owned by husband and wife team Andrew and Juliette Walsh, who only recently opened the store in Brodick during March this year after moving from their previous premises in Cladach.

‘We had no idea we had even been nominated,’ explained Andrew, ‘but we are very grateful. It is recognition of the hard work of all our staff over the years to build the business, as well as the great loyalty and support of all our customers. And we think it is also a wonderful reflection of Arran’s growing popularity with walkers and all outdoors enthusiasts.’

The awards, organised by The Great Outdoors magazine, aim to celebrate the best of the UK outdoors community and they also host The Gear of the Year Awards.
