Passers-by near Brodick ferry terminal on Monday might have been surprised to see two 10- foot tall puppets walking along the shorefront.
The two puppets known as Sandy and CiNDy are part of the Scottish branch of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, (CND) whose members were campaigning against Britain’s Trident nuclear weapon system.
Members of CND, assisted by volunteers from Ayrshire and Arran, were handing out ‘Bairns not Bombs’ leaflets and information packs that included a 24-page booklet discussing their nuclear concerns and also an educational DVD aimed at primary and secondary school pupils.
