Community groups have been given more time to apply for funding. The Arran Participatory Budgeting application deadline has been extended to Monday October 16 at noon after a disappointing response.
Under the scheme individuals and groups have a chance to win up to £850 from a ‘community chest’ of £13,000 when participatory budgeting comes to Brodick Hall on Saturday October 22.
Anyone wishing to take part in the event must complete an application form outlining why they should receive a share of the funding pot. The PB steering group will then review all applications and those shortlisted will be invited to present their idea (maximum three minutes) to everyone in the hall, which will include other applicants and members of the wider Arran community.
