DOUBLE Olympic and Paralympic champions Mo Farah and Kadeena Cox are among a 16-strong shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
Farah defended his 5000m and 10,000m titles in Rio this summer while 25-year-old Cox became the first Brit in 32 years to win two golds at the same games in two different sports – T38 400m and C4-5 500m time trial in cycling.
The end-of-year list has been expanded to 16 sportsmen and women this year to cater for GB’s successes in Rio.
