WITH a wretched record on the international stage at all levels up until 2015, Lorraine Ugen was badly in need of the past 12 months to show to herself the psychological barriers of major competition could be overcome. Fifth in Beijing and a bronze at the World Indoors in Portland suggests she has now conquered them.
