IN THIS issue of Athletics Weekly you’ll find two very different sides to the sport. The first revolves around Russia and Rio and a depressing catalogue of corruption that has seen them cast out of the Olympic Games (see p6-8). It is a dark world of stimulants and steroids, missed tests and meldonium, whistleblowers and WADA. As the arrest of Jama Aden shows (see p11) bags of erythropoietin and alleged cheating are not just restricted to Russia either.
