My mother was a rock when I hit the rocks


REMEMBER THE DAYS of Nokias the size of garlic crushers? When “Storage Almost Full” didn’t flash up on your blower every two seconds, forcing you to frantically delete all the apps and photos you’d like to keep?

That’s the problem with humans. When our storage is full, we keep going (stopping to re-evaluate can be scary). It’s a trait I notice in many of my friends. Most notably in the woman I live with: my mum.
