BIG GAY FOLLOWING

FORMED IN 1981, Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodward stormed into the UK top 10 in 1982 with It Ain’t What You Do (It’s The Way That You Do It) and would score eight top 10 hits before Siobhan’s departure in 1988. The last time they shared the stage together proved to be an amazing performance that same year at the Brit Awards, featuring scores of oiled-up, scantily-clad muscled backing dancers.

The girls continued to have further success with Siobhan’s replacement, their friend Jacqui O’Sullivan, from 1988 to 1991. But Jacqui couldn’t shake off the “new girl” tag even after three years, and Keren and Sara continued as a duo from 1992, most recently rebounding into the top 20 in 2005 with pop stompers Move in My Direction and Look on the Floor.

With 10 studio albums and 43 singles under their belts, Bananarama have thoroughly earned their place in the Guinness Book of Records as the all-female group with the most chart entries in the world.

While they’re not planning any new material for their upcoming tour as a threesome, we have been promised a breath-taking reunion with a set list including all our favourite tracks. Better refresh yourselves on those dance routines, boys.
