Truly Madly Deeply

AS TOLD TO CHRIS GODFREY

WILLIAM, 27, TRAIN DRIVER

How we met was a bit unusual. We both lived in Glasgow and had known of each other for most of our lives, though we hadn’t been close. I was a friend of some of his older cousins and we’d just known of each other through friends and family. Once we got older, we met properly through social media and it went from there. It turned out that we lived round the corner from each other. We started chatting and I liked having someone new to talk to; someone I felt open with. For our first date, we drove to Loch Lomond, which is about 20 miles out of Glasgow. It wasn’t a conventional first date; we just spent it going around in the car. Fast forward six years and we’ve done loads together. We haven’t been abroad much, but we’ve been all around the UK. We love London and went there to see Britney Spears.
