Pride Time!

Your guide to just some of the UK’s fantastic LGBT festivals this summer

Did you know the UK has more than 50 Pride events taking place every year? Some are gigantic festivals spanning weeks that attract hundreds and thousands of visitors, while others are more local and focus around one or two gay venues in smaller towns. But as you know, it’s not how big it is, but what you do with it that counts! One thing's for sure: there’s never been a better time to be proudly LGBT than in Britain in 2016. So, be sure to embrace the freedom that our nation offers, get yourself down to one of the many Pride events and be a part of a community that has fought long and hard for the right to openly celebrate its fabulous diversity.

The 16-day event offers a range of events, tours, film screenings, and conferences as well as exhibitions and plays from 10-26 June. The culmination of the event is Pride in London Parade on Saturday 25 June. It will feature more than 250 community groups and artists, culminating with a huge celebration of art, music and political speeches in Trafalgar Square, and a street party in Soho.
