1533–1603
Elizabeth l,daughterof Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn, was queen of England from 1558 until her death, which marked the end of the Tudor dynasty. One of her first acts as monarch was to restore England to Protestant-ism; she also had Mary, Queen of Scots imprisoned and executed, and the Spanish Armada was defeated during her reign.
