Lartey’s world ranking is about the only thing going for him as he takes on Dubois, writes Matt Bozeat
FINISHER: Dubois is looking to make a further statement against Lartey

ALL the talk all seems to be about what happens next for Daniel Dubois, once he’s seen off Richard Lartey at Wembley Arena on Saturday night in a fight broadcast live on BT Sport in the UK and ESPN in the USA.

Promoter Frank Warren is keen to make the match with Joe Joyce for the British title vacated by Hughie Fury and there’s growing interest in a fight with Nathan Gorman that seems certain to happen at some point, possibly by the end of the year. There’s no such talk at the Peacock gym in Canning Town where Dubois trains with manager Martin Bowers. There, the focus is on Lartey, a Ghanaian who’s ranked a rather flattering No 15 by the WBO.
