FRANKIE GAVIN, 2007 World amateur champion and beaten by Kell Brook in a world-title challenge in the pros, has retired at the age 33.

Or at least that’s what he told Boxing News a few days before we broke the news on our website. Upon seeing the reaction to his retirement on the BN social media pages, Gavin indicated he was yet to make up his mind.
