Set on land that previously hosted a side garage, this three-storey new build home in South East London is a great example of what can be achieved on urban infill plots. The build sits lower than the neighbouring Victorian houses, with an extruded black brick facade for a nuanced design.
Although the triangular wedge shape of the plot posed some design and construction challenges, it ultimately allowed for interesting design features that make the most of the awkward space, such as a bright orange walk-in pantry in the corner of the kitchen and the basement level courtyard.
