For me 'summer' is always synonymous with the word 'fun', and I'm therefore choosing 'Summer Fun' as the theme for this month. Hopefully the sun will shine on you, and with many summer events happening this month we have geared our cakes to these occasions. With so many summer activities there is always ample opportunity to make a cake to mark the event, and I am sure that many of this month's original ideas will inspire you to think of even more chances to get your cake tools out for.
As you will see in the final part of "Countdown to a Wedding" I had lots of fun surrounding my son's wedding last year, but this August, as soon as I get back from ICES (and weather permitting) I've promised myself to have some fun relaxing in my garden, though no doubt I'll find my own excuse to make a cake (or several) to enjoy after a sizzling BBQ.
