A MAN who assaulted a woman during a Campbeltown party has been jailed for seven months.
William Dott, aged 28, of 28B Burn-bank Street, Campbeltown, pleaded guilty to a charge of swearing and using abusive behaviour, at 1B Mafeking Place on February 27. He also pleaded guilty to a further charge of seizing a woman by the hair, pushing her to the ground and repeatedly trying to punch her during the same party.
When Dott appeared at Campbel town Sheriff Court, before Sheriff Ruth Anderson QC, last week, she added seven days’ further imprisonment in respect of unpaid fines going back three years.
