A WOMAN who pleaded guilty to keeping a Rottweiler that was dangerously out of control was given an absolute discharge.
Campbeltown Sheriff Court heard last Thursday that the dog had repeatedly bitten a visitor to Helen Davina Allen’s home at 24 High Street, Campbeltown, on June 11 last year.
Defending Allen, 38, solicitor Stephen MacSporran said a vet had subsequently put the dog to sleep. He said the dog had been to the vet a week previously for ear ache and perhaps the woman had touched its ear. Mr MacSporran said the experience had put his client off ever owning a dog again.
