CAMPBELTOWN Pupils’ footballers have only missed one game in nearly 1,000 due to not having a team and they travelled to Oban last Saturday knowing they faced a formidable foe.
The brave players suffered the team’s worst ever defeat but are to be commended for honouring the fixture and not pulling out.
A combination of factors, including both goalies having injuries, contributed to the loss. Hopefully they can field the best team possible for the next tough game at home to St Joseph’s on Saturday.
