All things turned gloriously green for one day only at Castlehill primary school. Last Thursday P4/5 held its annual ‘Go Green Day’ event in the school gym and sold many of the plants grown by green-fingered pupils.
A report from teacher Alison Semple read: ‘In preparation all pupils planted and grew a variety of plants and flowers to sell, enhancing their existing knowledge and understanding of the planting process and developing their gardening skills.’
On the day, pupils wore green items of clothing or accessories to further promote the event.
