Shore street was steaming

THE COURIER’S Down memory lane feature on the Steamboat hotel has jogged some memories.

Many use the paper for historical research and it has been suggested that there is more to the Steamboat than was in the story.

The hotel mentioned did indeed stand on the south side of Shore Street, but it was situated at the end of its own courtyard some 20 yards inward from the alignment of the said street.
