The big news this week comes from the Mainline camp, as Greg Ellis is crowned Mainline Carp Angler of the Year! On the captures front, both Dave Levy and Stuart Higgs have been in action on RK Leisure venues this week. Dave helped himself to a 40lb 2oz mirror from Horton Church Lake, while Stuart bagged lovely linear of 35½lb. Following numerous snow captures for Paul Hunt last week, Tony Knill also capitalised on the Milton Abbas action. He topped a four fish catch with a 35¾lb common. The angling community also mourns the loss of angling legend Len Gurd.
Jake Lund takes to the busy banks of Brasenose One and puts his different tactics to great use. DNA Baits match angler Chris Donovan shares his top ten tips for spring fishing while Matthew Lockett, also focusing on spring, details the changes required in your tactics to maximise your chances of an early season lump. Crowy is back with his column, where he dicusses the importance of good gear maintenance. We also have two Product in Focus large reviews, one featuring some new brew equipment from Fox and the other staring the new SLX V3 Bivvy from Trakker.
We have a fantastic prize on offer from Cygnet Tackle worth over £260, plus the weekly Mainline Winners are announced.
