CLASSIC WORLD REJECTS BID TO RESTRICT USAGE
A controversial report from an influential think tank that works with both of
Britain’s biggest political parties calls for classics to be taken off Britain’s roads in the next twenty five years. The latest report from the the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) into cutting traffi c suggests that the only fossil-fuelled vehicles on the road by the 2040s could be limitedmileage
classics. Sir Greg Knight, chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Historic Vehicle Group, says that public opinion would be strongly against the idea. He says: ‘No democratic government will ban people from driving their cars.’
