Sea vegetables are available from some supermarkets in season (which is now), but if you can I’d recommend a trip to the salt marshes to go foraging for sea beet, samphire and sea aster. It’s worth it just to experience the beauty of these unique coastal ecosystems, but coming home with a bag of sea veg, packed with their salty, umami tang, is a bonus.”
