Brit flick
There’s a fair bit of eating in new film Hampstead: an interrupted brunch, a romantic picnic, a troubled lunch. It’s the backdrop to the story of Emily (Diane Keaton) and Donald (Brendan Gleeson), inspired by the true tale of a man who lived for years in a shed on Hampstead Heath. Emily is a widow; Donald is under threat of losing his home. Add snooty neighbours into the mix, with a star turn from James Norton, and you have a recipe for a crowdpleasing Sunday afternoon flick. In cinemas from 23 June.
