A 2005 Ford F-250 that’s outfitted with a Carli Suspension long-travel kit is being put to the test. Carli does real-world testing of all its kits to ensure durability before going to market. The company calls it “testing”; we call it a weekend of fun in the dunes, and the wow factor is that it’s with a diesel truck.

In the old days of the 1970s and ’80s, lifting a truck often meant just putting on taller and usually stiffer leaf springs. The result was a taller truck that was, at best, no better-riding than stock and often stiffer than stock.
