ANY SCORCHED RV TRAILERS?
I just bought a new truck, and then I began to consider the potential for heat damage to a fi fth wheel travel-trailer during an exhaust fi lter regeneration. The tip of the tailpipe on my new Duramax is only a short distance from the trailer.
I’ve searched the Internet and can’t fi nd anyone reporting a problem like this. The GM literature says the exhaust tip was designed to “moderate” temperatures at the exhaust tip, but I do wonder whether driving for a few hours on the highway during the summer would cause any damage to my trailer.
