How To Avoid A Brexit Breakdown

I voted Remain and since the EU referendum I’ve been crying even more than usual. My normally immaculate winged eyeliner is now as messed up as Britain’s credit rating.

I’m tempted to stay at home in the lace-trimmed pyjamas I bought in Paris, eating my pain away with deliciously Italian spaghetti carbonara and generally wallowing in my Brexit blues. The “J’adore EU” playlist I have on repeat includes reimagined classics such as Sinead O’ Connor’s Nothing Compares 2 EU, Toni Braxton’s UnBrexit My Heart and The Police’s Every Breath EU Take (“oh, can’t EU see, EU belong to me…”). You get the picture and it’s not pretty. Unlike Europe, which is friggin’ gorgeous. Crikey, this is even worse than when Diana died. And I’m still not over that.
