When Kalynn Bayron was a child the first novel she ever read cover to cover was Nancy Drew And The Hidden Staircase. Her dad bought it for her and she became all-consumed by the book, so much so that she attempted to start a “detective agency” with her friends. “Though I didn’t have a lot in common with Nancy Drew, it made me feel like I could explore something new and imagine something new for myself,” she smiles warmly as I chat to her on a transatlantic Zoom call. “Shout out to my dad for sparking that love of storytelling in me.”
