Summer Survival Special

Monogamy and coconuts: you’re going to have to consider where you stand on both to survive the coming summer, says our grooming guru, Will Fennell.
Will Fennell: no blond bombshell but certainly a sexy silver fox.

BRIEFLY BLOND

I believe there’s a wide range of things anyone would be very happy to hear from a hot stranger when they meet for a Grindr hook-up. From the casual yet simple but nonetheless effective “nice” (add a cheeky smile), to the rather more straight-to-the-point grunt (which I like, obviously), the choice is yours.

“Oh… I thought you were blond,” however, is not one of them. And if your hair is actually grey, even the sexiest French accent cannot make it sound pleasant.

But at this stage, and despite the blatant insult, I was already charmed, seduced and compelled. So in order to save any possibility of first-date-wrong-hair-colour death, I replied that I was actually blond in high school.I’m not quite sure whether the time frame made him suspicious, or if it was the slightly desperate tone I was using, but he didn’t looked convinced.

I know, I shouldn’t have lied. But when a hot French boy is saying he prefers blonds, you grab any opportunity to seal the deal, even at the cost of your integrity.
