The TARDIS arrives on a space station, the space station comes under attack, and Lucie Miller – companion to the Eighth Doctor on audio from 2006 to 2011 – ends up stranded on the planet below, dodging gangsters.

“It all started with the world, which is a place called Cerberin,” explains Andrew Smith, writer of Flashpoint. “I just thought it was a nice audio environment – rain, lightning, a lightning world… that seemed like a moody setting for an audio story. Also, I wanted to give Sheridan Smith [who performs the story in character as Lucie] something good and strong and emotional to do, so I had this idea of finding a situation in which she would be protecting a child, which I thought was just a nice emotional motivation for her.
