As well as defending the Earth as a UNIT soldier, actor Jon Davey is also one of Doctor Who’s most prolific Earth invaders…

Although Jon Davey’s is a name you might be unfamiliar with, he’s been in no fewer than 38 episodes of Doctor Who since 2005 – and on many of these occasions he’s been disguised as monsters invading Earth. “I’m very fortunate to have been in the mix for some time,” he says.

Jon’s first Doctor Who appearance was as a Cyberman marching across a parallel-universe Earth in 2006’s Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel, swiftly followed the same year by Army of Ghosts/Doomsday. When he went along for the audition, however, he wasn’t aware of what he was getting himself into.
