The autumnal equinox has crept up on us. It will go about its handiwork, as it slowly shortens our days and turns Mother Earth’s cloak of color to amber.
Fall, in many parts of our Country, signals the closing of car show “season”. We are universally reluctant to both show, and view cars, in inclement weather. We each check with the local weather prognosticators in the hopes to avoid such instances.
And frankly, who would blame us? As show car owners, we care lovingly for the classic we honor with restoration. We spend time, money, sweat and tears to bring the old gal back from rust and sometimes rot. So, when the clouds gather to present their dark and ominous precursory declaration, we take heed. We duck and car cover, stashing the polished paint and chrome away from the onslaught of weather.
