A major project launched to reassess the history of Native North Americans in Britain is appealing for help from family historians.
The University of Kent’s School of English hopes the three-year ‘Beyond the Spectacle: Native North American Presence in Britain’ project, will provide a comprehensive history of Native Americans in Britain over the last 450 years. The team’s researchers are also asking the public for help to uncover previously unknown historical objects and stories related to the subject that may be within their family.
