Gaming and Geeking

Star Wars: Battlefront You might’ve heard there’s a new Star Wars film on the way, which of course means heaps of merchandise. Not least of which is the highly anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront, from shooter champions DICE. With the emphasis on large-scale online skirmishes that play throughout the original trilogy, this is majestic stuff. Blast off to a galaxy far, far away and sample the frenetic, gorgeous environments for yourself. Out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Deadpool It’s fair to say that Deadpool didn’t set the world alight when it was released for PS3 and Xbox 360, taking a fairly generic hack and slash and infusing it with some foul-mouthed narration that failed to lift it above average. But with Ryan Reynolds limbering up to unveil his take on the character he was born to play, the game has received a next-gen makeover that’s bound to benefit from the buzz. But where are the grown-up console superhero games, please? Out now on PS4 and Xbox One.
