Digital Subscriptions > Gay Times > January 2017 > KINGCOBRA

Despite its limited film festival and digital release, the gay porn drama [pornrama?] King Cobra has enjoyed a whirlwind of press, publicity and plaudits these past few months.

It’s not hard to see why. The film centres around gay porn, drugs and the death of adult film producer Bryan Kocis, who was murdered by rival porn producers Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes in a plot to free Sean Paul Lockhart – perhaps better known in your Google search history as Brent Corrigan – from his contract.

The flick’s eclectic and star-studded cast – including former-Disney star Garrett Clayton, James Franco, Christian Slater and the superb inclusion of Molly Ringwald and Alicia Silverstone – helped the media machine march on, but it’s the lesser told tale of sex, death and betrayal that peaks the most interest.

“I first read about the story three years ago, while researching my first film I Am Michael”, King Cobra’s director Justin Kelly tells us.
