SEEN A CLIMBING WALL at your local leisure centre and thought, ‘I’d love to try it but daren’t’? It may seem like an activity for super-fit adventurers, but climbing has many forms and it’s accessible to almost anyone.

‘Climbing is a very inclusive sport,’ says Rob Adie, climbing walls and competitions officer at the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). ‘It’s open to people of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels; young, old or disabled.
