SOME TIME AGO, AT A GP’S MEETING, we were discussing longevity. A colleague of mine suddenly said, ‘But we’re not really living any longer, are we, Dawn? But as I drove home I started thinking about many of my more elderly patients, and it struck me that I had to agree with my colleague. Lots of my older patients have very little quality of life.
