LASTEVER EP!
The Good Wife
More4, 9pm
After seven incredible seasons of law/ politics-based drama, the last episode of The Good Wife is upon us, and we are gutted about it. In a matter of hours, there will be no more Alicia glugging vino in well-tailored power suits; no more rubber-faced Eli conveying every emotion under the sun with the arch of an eyebrow; no more Carey; no more Kalinda and – gasp – no more Will. We know, it’s too much to bear.

On many levels, tonight’s epic finale doesn’t disappoint, as we get some much-needed answers. Without spoiling it for you, we find out if Peter will serve time in the slammer, as the case against him reaches a thrilling climax. And in the process, Alicia finally makes a decision about what – and, more importantly, who – she wants in life. Will she stand by Peter again? Is sexy Jason her future? Can she ever get over Will? Sniff. When we interviewed Julianna Margulies about the final ep, she said of her last-ever scene – with the superb Christine Baranski (Diane Lockhart) – “People are either going to love it or hate it. But there definitely won’t be any grey matter in between.” Never has a truer word been said. And, frankly, we wouldn’t want or expect it any other way.
