While Kanye was causing chaos in New York by announcing secret gigs and Kim was Snapchatting the whole thing, their old friends Beyoncé and Jay Z were also in the city, throwing a party. A bash that Kim and Kanye, we’re told, were not on the guestlist for.
Hanging with Kanye’s mates
Bey and Jay hosted a birthday party for rapper – and close friend and collaborator of Kanye – Vic Mensa at Jay’s 40/40 club in the capital. And, despite a lot of Kanye’s mates also turning up to the night (including Chance The Rapper, Kanye’s protégé), Kim and Kanye were very much not invited.

An insider tells heat, “Ever since Beyoncé skipped Kim and Kanye’s wedding, Bey’s never in the same room as her unless she doesn’t have a choice. In fact, I think it’s only happened five times in two years, mostly at things like awards shows and basketball games. She swerved Kim at the MET Gala. The thing is, Beyoncé doesn’t think Kim’s on her level and can’t stand the chaos around her and Kanye. As soon as they’re in the room, it’s all about them. And she hates the whole social-media thing: she doesn’t want to be on Kim’s Snapchat, or caught looking less than perfect in the background of a picture.
