I hate to make predictions about upcoming weather events. But it seems like the weathermen and -women today rely too much on technology; their long-range forecasts don’t appear to be as accurate as they used to be (or at least what I remember them being as a kid). I guess it won’t cause any problems then if I play amateur weatherman and say that this coming winter might be a bear, or more accurately, that it might be pretty squirrelly.
The reason I say this is because of those bushy rodents. The squirrels in central Indiana where I live have been working extremely hard the last few weeks — harder than normal. They are digging up every inch of my yard and digging through any outdoor potted plant they can find, looking for ideal spots to bury nuts, and they are out everywhere, all the time. Granted, this happens every year in late summer/early fall, but it seems this year is different.
