HOYS PREVIEW
The working hunter class at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) is synonymous with bold, testing courses, particularly since David Cole took over as course designer. The course has since become famous for its feature fences, including Stonehenge, the Great Wall of China and last year’s curved walls. But it can test even the bravest of horses and faults are often plentiful. So why is it that some horses rise to the challenge and some don’t? In this issue, Louise Calverley takes a look at what makes a working hunter winner at HOYS.
