iDrum magazine: Never miss a beat 129 June 2014 Back Issue

In our packed June issue of Drummer, we’re joined by metal master Chris Adler, who gave us a very insightful interview while recently visiting our shores with the mighty Lamb Of God. Anyone who has witnessed Chris’s incendiary playing will testify as to what an incredible player he is, and in our interview we get to know a lot more about his sublime playing. We’re also joined by one of the most revered funk drummers of all-time, the superb Harvey Mason, who discusses his latest album and project; Internet sensation Meytal Cohen discusses how she managed to build up such a huge following of loyal fans on-line, while percussionist extraordinaire Lea Mullen chats choices, space and texture.
Elsewhere we bring you our 2014 guide to the UK’s biggest festivals set to happen in the coming months, along with a very special behind the scenes look at Guru Drum’s latest innovative products and promotional video shoot.

Gear-wise, and as well as taking an exclusive look at the prototype kit from Guru Drums In-Tense Series English Ash range, we also spend time with Tama’s new Imperialstar kit, which provides everything for the fledgling player at a very reasonable price. Meinl cymbals get a look with their newest additions into their Byzance range; Lion Cajóns provide us with a pair of traditional Peruvian-influenced instruments; Angel Snare drums Segmented Stave snare drums gain our attention while Promark’s new Select Balance drumsticks get a thorough workout.

All of this plus our regular features, latest news (including a very special announcement about this year’s London Drum Show) and top-notch tuition makes for a crammed issue!
