iDrum magazine: Never miss a beat November 2015 Back Issue

Welcome to our November issue! As we’re celebrating all things drum-related at the London Drum Show this month, it seems fitting that for this issue we have a rock legend on the cover and we welcome two up and coming players who are definitely ones to watch out for on the US and UK session scenes.
Tommy Lee and Mötley Crüe are saying their farewells on their Final Tour and visiting the UK this month. After 35 years with the band, we wonder if it’s going to leave a hole in Tommy’s life – he answers that, plus a whole lot more (including details of his 60-foot high rollercoaster drum kit set-up) in our in-depth feature.
Mark Guiliana has recently visited the UK himself, playing with his jazz quartet at Ronnie Scott’s. He tells us about their new album Family First, while Dee Plakas and her grunge punk pioneer band L7 are back together after a 14-year break. Matt Starr is making himself known on the West Coast session scene and Alex Torjussen is doing the same in the UK, kicking off a tour with James Morrison – read about their rapid rise through the drum ranks.
We have one heck of a competition prize this month – Paiste PSTX cymbals worth £366 from the good folk at Korg UK, plus guest tuition from Tom Meadows, who spills the beans on how to get creative. And of course we have all of our usual top-notch tuition, news, reviews and more!
