July has not went exactly to plan. We had 3 missions, one of which was to complete the Aye Pod, or at least have it functional, secondly, to get the Blazemobile through it’s MOT and thirdly, do our Iscot report of a walk we had been planning to tackle for a few years.
Item No.1 was completed with success, but item 2 fell foul of ‘island syndrome’.
All the car failed on was an iffy tyre and nae beep fae the horn.
Not a big deal…if you live on the mainland that is.
Three to four days just to get a tyre sent over to Skye, and a week to ten days before the toot-toot gizmo can even be considered…
I did offer the mechanic manny a solution involving Laoch and twa bricks either side o’ his ‘boy bits’, but it seems that DVSA disnae count that as a viable alternative…they’ve nae imagination them fellas…
As for Item 3…well, the walk can of course wait until next months issue, and likely just as well, as at last, the spell of sunny weather broke and we’re back to normal drookit aw’ day conditions.
