Joining together

One of its members, Trish Scott, sent us this report: ‘Members brought along copies of paintings, which they each felt a passion for and which they thought could work for everyone. This turned out to be one of David Hockney’s depictions of the Yorkshire Wolds – The Spring Tunnel, a joyous painting celebrating spring in all its glory, shown in his exhibition, A Bigger Picture at the Royal Academy of Arts in 2012. The painting was enlarged and divided into 12 equal sections.
