While preparing for my first trip to Paris, I read that there is a unique view of the Eiffel Tower from the Métro’s Line 6 between the stations of Passy and Bir-Hakeim. My wife and I planned to experience a local Parisian vibe and not be completely touristy, but of course we wanted to see the key monuments. The first time I took this line, I was overwhelmed by the panoramic view of the Seine. This is one of the few subway lines that gives you a view of the Eiffel Tower, and you catch a glimpse of the ‘Iron Lady’ for a few seconds. I reserved an hour or two of my last day in Paris just to go up and down. It was no ordinary journey; the shaky train, the reflections and the crowds made it challenging to compose a good shot. On one of my trips, just before boarding, I spotted this man sitting inside. From his attire he looked totally French, and I instantly knew I had a story to tell.
