SKETCHBOOK
Whenthesunsets onBamako, thesky turns pink and purple. In March, the Harmattan winds make the air heavy with sand and everything becomes hazy. I was with my cousin and our husbands 'faire le grin' – the Malian custom of chatting while drinking mint tea. Mopeds, trucks, 4WDs, bicycles and pedestrians were scooting by loaded with all manner of things. I loved the colour and energy of the scene.
