‘ON THIS INCREDIBLY cold, snowy and windy day in Antarctica in October 2018, these small, penguin chicks were patiently waiting for their parents to return from sea with a meal. They were huddled up in a group to protect themselves from the frigid winds. I took this picture to showcase not only the social aspect of these chicks, but also the harsh conditions they have to endure to survive. Snow Hill Island lies to the east of the Antarctic Peninsula and is almost entirely snowcapped.’
