TRIPLE TROUBLE
We sent Matt Munro to photograph three risky places this issue
To shoot Songkran (see below) I needed to wrap my whole camera in layers of clingfilm, and also to wear wrap-around glasses, as everyone thought it was fun to play ‘soak the photographer’ with high-powered water pistols.
For Walpurgisnacht in Germany (p78), the biggest issue was how cold it was in the Harz Mountains at night. Although with so many witches and wizards about, I also had a slight concern I may have had a hex cast upon me.
In Arizona (p41), I had to tread with care around the cholla cactus: its spikes form hooks when in contact with skin, which are very hard to remove.
